Ten-Years in the Making
In 2016, my 44 year old daughter was diagnosed with advanced Stage 4 Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer. She responded to initial treatment, but relapsed soon after. We received the news every family dreads: the NHS had no further treatment available for her specific type of cancer. We were told to prepare for the worst.
Then came a lifeline
Her oncologist made us aware of a very special charity—Harris & Trotter Clients Charitable Trust—that helps fund recommended treatments that are not available through the NHS. Please Visit their website. Thanks to their funding, my daughter began a pioneering immunotherapy treatment called Pembrolizumab in January 2018.
The rest is history
Because of their support and the incredible success of the funded treatment, my daughter has been able to work full-time, raise her young children, and enjoyed precious family life. We were given the ultimate gift: hope, positivity, and time. We want others to have the same chance.
WHY WE EXIST
Giving Hope When All Hope Seems Lost
Not everyone gets the chance my daughter did. TEN-ACIOUS is determined to change that. We raise funds that go directly to Harris & Trotter Clients Charitable Trust, so that other cancer patients with no further NHS options are also given the chance of life-extending or curative treatments.
We exist purely to raise funds that support other cancer patients to not lose precious hope, or lose their chance of all possible treatment options.
Note: We invite anybody who is thinking of their own charitable event however big or small, to consider supporting the Tenacious cause with their fundraising.
